Check The Source Before Choosing A Blank
A VIDEO_TS folder contains the authored DVD-Video files, including navigation information and video data. It should come from a completed DVD-authoring job, rather than from renaming an ordinary video folder.
If your starting point is an MP4, first prepare it in an authoring tool that can produce a compatible DVD-Video structure. Simply copying the MP4 to a DVD produces a data disc, which is a different result.
Use Video DVD From Folder
- Check that the prepared DVD-Video folder plays correctly in a suitable software player.
- Open Video Disc Wizard in Free Burning Studio.
- Select Video DVD from Folder and choose the authored source.
- Review the target writer, output and media settings shown by the wizard.
- Confirm the summary and proceed with the disc operation.
- Test the finished DVD in the actual DVD player you want to use.
Preserve The Authored Layout
Keep the files and directory structure produced by the authoring tool together. Removing an unfamiliar file can break navigation or playback. Also confirm that the completed project fits the blank DVD you intend to use.
When you have a prepared DVD-Video ISO instead of a folder, use Burn / Write with Image File. This reproduces the image structure rather than placing the ISO filename onto a new data disc.
Playback Depends On More Than A Successful Burn
The player must support the disc format and recordable medium. The authored video standard and other playback settings also matter. Check menus, chapter changes and the end of the movie before making additional discs.
